Hi all at Greenacres, just a quick line to wish you all a Happy Christmas, Louie is preparing for his second Christmas with us, and, Yes he has got presents!, it is hard now to remember what life was like before he joined our family!, I can honestly say that he has improved our lifestyle and has charmed everyone he has met!, I think he is a true ambassador for the breed and for Greenacres, so thank you and we hope to be able to pay you a visit in the new year. Wayne, Andree and Louie.

Just read the new thread on 'Our Staffies'. Absolutely excellent.

They can be real loving dogs. My sister-in-law has one and she is a real darling.

We have 2 dogs ( one from you ) so cannot offer another home, but would not dismiss a Staffie in the future.

The dogs are so lucky to have Greenacres and the wonderful staff and volunteers. Well done.

Please keep us updated on Flick's progress.

You may remember Kia (the deaf white cat) who is currently with us and seems to be very happy with her new home. Photo attached of her enjoying one of her nightly head massages! She is also very dexterous with her paws and can even sign language! I will upload pictures/video of her doing this soon.

Keep up the good work.

Hi all at Greenacres, just a quick note to say thanks for putting on such a great open day yesterday, It certainly looked to be a great hit with everyone!, I know that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, it was nice to see so many ex Greenacres dogs, I think Louie enjoyed meeting his sister Lola again, I can't begin to imagine the amount of work and planning that went into such an event, so a big thank you to all involved.
I thought the fly past was a nice touch Ha Ha. Wayne, Andree and Louie.

Hey All at Greenacres, just to let you know Tammy has settled in very well in our family. Kids adore her and miss her when she is gone for a long time. She is an outdoor cat, I think, as she likes to be out, exploring, most of the time though she also loves our cuddles. We have turned off our alarm clocks as she loudly awakens all of us, including the kids, by 5AM in the morning and my kids think , she must have eaten a rooster sometime :-) Fussy with her food, see no difference between her and my kids. :-)
Would love to give a home to a dog, in the future! Many thanks!

Hi all at Greenacres, just a quick note to let you know that Merlin (previously known at Malcolm) and Daisy have settled in really well. Merlin has become firm friends with Max one of our other cats and if he is not curled up with Daisy he can be found getting up to mischief with Max! They are both such contented cats and have not been phased in the slightist by our busy household. They have just started exploring the outdoor space and Daisy is fascinated by the rabbits! ]

Hi All at Greenacres, I've been following your Blog with interest! and would like to know if and when you will be holding an Open Day in 2011?, Louie is coming along great and is trying really hard with his training and on the whole getting the hang of it!, I hope Lola is doing as well!, we've met several Greenacres Dogs on our walks, we've met Sasha and her Fosterer, also regularly see Wally and his new owner, we knew Wally before he was a Greenacres Dog so it was like meeting an old friend!, we took Louie down to Marloes Sands a few days ago and he went absolutely berserk!, he didn't know wether to run, jump in the pools or dig in the sand first!!, Ithink it's safe to say he loves the beach!

Hi to everyone at Green acres, an update on Marlow, he is a black & white lurcher, we adopted him 8 weeks ago and since then things have changed for the better, he has settled in very well and has brought out the playful side in my other lurcher, and a joy to see them playing together. He is a very friendly dog, and gets on well with every dog that he meets, he is also very loving and affectionate, he loves his food, he eats like a horse!! he loves his two long walks a day, but on a whole, he is a great love and a joy to have around and would like to thank all at green acres for giving us the chances to adopt such a lovely dog

Hi Mikey & all at Greenacres, I have added a few pictures of Louie to the site, he has grown quite a bit since we adopted him!, he has been clean (fully housetrained!) since day one (no accidents at all), he enjoys his food! and his walks (now offlead a lot), and life in general, his training is going well and he has already mastered sit, stop, and wait, his recall is very good 90% of the time and lead training is going very well, we will bring him out to Greenacres soon for a visit. He is a pleasure to be with. Thank you, Wayne & Andree Bartlett.

This is lola, she is a jack russell cross that i adopted from greenacres in june from a litter that you had. She settled in really well and is growing into such a beautiful dog, has a wonderful personality, and is now inseperable from my other jack. and is always getting into mischief, but she is a bit of a poser who loves to have her picture taken. couldn't ask for a better dog!!

We have had rivers (little white westie) for a few weeks now and he is so settled, he is an amazing dog and we really couldnt ask for a more well behaved family pet. When he first came to us he was very shy, scoffed his food and didnt like to play. A few weeks on and he is like a puppy, always wanting to play and has even kidnapped one of my ugg boots (after all the toys we bought) Rivers is 14 years old and i will be devestated when it his time to leave us. He is a truly well loved family member. Thank you so much for bringing him into our lives

I am now fostering Cracker Jack, he is so tiny (he is smaller than my Yorkshire Terrier) an very very cute, he is a proper little sweety, he loves the kids an plays great with the other dogs, he is a real joy, full of fun, loves going for walkies and is good on the lead, pleasant with all the dogs he meets. and just loves to have his belly rubbed. He is a lovable, inquisitive, cute little dog.

I have added some pictures of him playing with the other dogs an with the children in the photo gallery, Jens foster dogs album, please take a look.

I have been fostering Levi for the past 5 days, an he is a dog that i can only discribe as 100% perfect, i find no fault in him at all, he is brill off lead enjoys going for his runs in the fields and on the beach with my other 2 dogs, listens well, loves the car, 100% house trained and is a very loving, lovable dog. Who ever homes him will be very lucky indeed.

Just reading about the complaint to Western Telegraph about animals not being 'free'. I would always worry that if someone could not possibly afford a £60 donation towards the treatment their new best friend has already received, they are not in a position to feed and keep him/her in the future. I think we have to ask this as a minimum as a safeguard that the animal is going to people that can afford to keep him! Thanks to all you hard working volunteers trudging through snow to keep the animals fed and cared for.....you are stars! x

Hi Michael and Carwyn, great to hear Cai is getting on so well - just goes to prove that we can say a rescue dog has this or that problem yet given the right home and surroundings they can really shine; he is obviously content that you will always be there for him and feels secure. Well done and heartfelt thanks for turning his life around x

I really like the work you do...I shall put the word out about Apollo the horse...I do love the adorable goats...when I achieve my goal of purchasing a field (instead of renting a field) I shall be looking for goats and chickens (from a battery hen environment to a better life). I hope you shall carry out your fab work and shall keep the word of mouth going...all the best for the future. keep up the good work :)

What you are doing is really splendid! How I wish there are more organization like yours that would look after the welfare of animals. I am in Asia and would love to adopt one but I guess that is a bit impossible :(

I will ask my Boss if we can feature your site on 1800PetMeds Blog as I really think you deserve the extra exposure.

congrats on finding Kai a new home, i really hope this is now a home for life for him, he so deserves it. I enquired about kai myself as we have a Malamute ourselves, but due to her not being neutered and just about to come into season, it just wasnt the right time. Credit to all of you which work so hard in looking after the animals that come into your care, thankyou for being there for them and i wish you all the very best in the future. If you ever needed volunteers at the centre, I would be very happy to help out. Lots Of Love xxx
