Just reading about the complaint to Western Telegraph about animals not being 'free'. I would always worry that if someone could not possibly afford a £60 donation towards the treatment their new best friend has already received, they are not in a position to feed and keep him/her in the future. I think we have to ask this as a minimum as a safeguard that the animal is going to people that can afford to keep him! Thanks to all you hard working volunteers trudging through snow to keep the animals fed and cared for.....you are stars! x

Just found out about your rescue service, will be spreading the word and may be able to foster dogs at some point, my older dog(I have two rescues) is a bit suspicious round new dogs so am easing her in gently...

Hi Michael and Carwyn, great to hear Cai is getting on so well - just goes to prove that we can say a rescue dog has this or that problem yet given the right home and surroundings they can really shine; he is obviously content that you will always be there for him and feels secure. Well done and heartfelt thanks for turning his life around x

We are all so pleased that at last Chico has found his forever family. He is a really special dog and he touched the hearts of all of us who cared for him and grew to love him. I miss him lots, but taking part in his recovery has been a wonderful experience and best wishes and huge thanks to Danni and Nicky (and Honey). Jan x
i would just like to give a big thank you to Jan and all the staff at Green Acres who have given chico so much love & support. we brought him home on Sat to his forever home and he seems to be settleing in really well and is enjoying play time with my other Shar Pei Honey
Once again a big thank you to Jan for spending so much time with Chico x

I really like the work you do...I shall put the word out about Apollo the horse...I do love the adorable goats...when I achieve my goal of purchasing a field (instead of renting a field) I shall be looking for goats and chickens (from a battery hen environment to a better life). I hope you shall carry out your fab work and shall keep the word of mouth going...all the best for the future. keep up the good work

What you are doing is really splendid! How I wish there are more organization like yours that would look after the welfare of animals. I am in Asia and would love to adopt one but I guess that is a bit impossible

I will ask my Boss if we can feature your site on 1800PetMeds Blog as I really think you deserve the extra exposure.

Regards,
Sandra

congrats on finding Kai a new home, i really hope this is now a home for life for him, he so deserves it. I enquired about kai myself as we have a Malamute ourselves, but due to her not being neutered and just about to come into season, it just wasnt the right time. Credit to all of you which work so hard in looking after the animals that come into your care, thankyou for being there for them and i wish you all the very best in the future. If you ever needed volunteers at the centre, I would be very happy to help out. Lots Of Love xxx

I am an old lady and would love to have a little dog as a companion. I have had two rescue dogs previously( both Cavaliers who very sadly had to be put to sleep because they became ill). If I could have a little dog it would have to be one which didn't need much excersize as I am unable to walk very far Maybe Polly ???

Hi Edith, Polly went to a lovely home, there were lots of enquiries about her, lets hope that a suitable dog can be found for you, regards, Jan

Well done to everyone who helped organise the Open Day at the shelter! I was so pleased to see lots of folk coming to see the animals. Lets hope some lucky doggies get their new forever homes as a result.......this is what makes all the hard work so worthwhile. Love and best wishes to those dogs and to their new, caring owners, 'thank you'....

What a wonderful job you do for animals thst have been so let down by shabby humans. I hope to adopt a dog from you at some future time. The world would be a darker place without the light that you shine so brightly.

I now have Ariel at home with me, she really is a nice little girl, who just wants someone to mother her, she is excellent on the lead but is nervouse with noises and sudden movements so i would think she would be best homed in a home with older people, as she just needs a calm relaxed enviroment to live happily shes a right cutie that loves cuddles, and just follows you everywhere.

Maggie is gaining weight by the day, gaining strenght and energy, her coat is much better, most of the dry flaky skin has gone, she is getting stronger by the day, an the tail is starting to wag as she plays with her 3 dog friends running free at the race course in hwest, she is having loads of cuddles with my 3 children, she is so soft and loving......

I am confident that she would make a great family pet, she is really good with other dogs and kids

Just a quick update on Dougal the Basset Hound. He has settled in really well and gets on great with Bertie our older dog. Our bitch Daisy keeps him in order but occasionally allows him to play with her. I've finally got round to adding some photos to your photo gallery.

Thanks candy for adding some brill photos to our album

Hey all, just to say thank you for Dougal. He is settling in fantastically. Especially as we shampooed and castrated him the day we got him!! He loves running on the beach with his new friends Bully and Tips, sleeping by the fire and lots of cuddles. He is very respectful of the cats, just as it should be, and my kitten has great sport teasing him. We just have to work on his over enthusiasm when the lead comes out! But otherwise we cannot fault this darling little dog. So thank you again for our latest edition to our very happy family.

Thats brilliant to hear & thanks for getting in touch, please send pics if you can.
