ANIMALS REHOMED SO FAR....83
Lily is now in a happy home.
I thought you may like an update on Lily.
She's doing very well and is a totally different dog to the timid one we
first met. She has grown in confidence, plays, spends all day in the
garden with us 'helping' and ,apart from the first two days, has had no
'accidents'. We took her up to our local pub last evening where she was
the star of the show and behaved extremely well. The only thing that she
doesn't do is come when she's called but I'm sure that, given a couple
more weeks, this will be resolved.
I'd like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to have someone to
'spoil'.

Heidi has gone to the most amazing home with Rachel and her family
Everyone who met Heidi at the vets went completely squooshy, even the dogs! She’s such a dreamboat. We are totally smitten with her & hope we can help her to be the best she can be (or wants to be). She gets more lively each day & can be quite cheeky (in a very demure way); we get invited to play & she loves chasing Meg with her ball (no interest in the ball) but she also adores getting involved in Moley-cat’s antics – he gives her the “come-hither” look & she’s off after him
Heidi update 27th Jan
We’re off to the vets this afternoon for a fine needle biopsy on both lumps Heidi is so bonny & bright through all of this. We had a glorious walk in the parkland behind my sister’s new house at the weekend – a special request from Her Royal Heidiness. She has been bouncing around like a rubber ball for about 4 days & was in desperate need of a proper leg stretch; the 3 of them had a fantastic time, with Heidi stopping in most of the muddiest puddles to cool her feet & have a good drink. How can one so dainty have such a penchant for mud? We count our blessings daily as she truly is a perfect dog – we have known no other dog like her. She’s getting very cheeky & sometimes thinks about pushing her luck (I nearly lost a piece of cake the other day)
Thank you all for your loving thoughts. It makes such a difference.

We are so pleased that at long last Duffy has found someone to be her loyal friend and teach her all the joys of a happy home.
hi sarah, duffy has settled brilliantly, she's such an absolute pleasure to be with that she comes almost everywhere with me, i'm sure she's very happy, she's been excellent and clean around the house ever since she came and gets along fine with my mum's terrier when we visit her. i've got some pictures on my camera now and will send them on here after our morning run.

Sam has gone to his really lovely new home today
I just wanted to let you know that Sam has settled in really well. He is an absolute delight and we are thrilled with him.
He has had his stitches out and healed perfectly.
He and Bronnie (our other dog) get on really well and he is fine with the cats.
He loves going on long walks and disappearing into hedges and then coming home and sleeping infront of an open fire!
Everyone who has met him has commented on his lovely nature.

This little boy was 1 of a litter of 6, he was the only survivor as his litter mates all died from severe anaemia, due to having such a heavy burden of fleas they were literally sucked dry. We called our little fighter Odin, & with much TLC we pulled him through & he is now a very spoilt & happy kitten.

On Sat 6th June Green Acres rehomed our first dog, a Basset hound called Dougal,
Dougal has now found his forever home, with Candy and her other two Basset hounds, Candy has had Bassets for years so Dougal has really landed on this feet, it was lovely to see them all together.
